Leadership rotation at NOOR: Daiva Ušinskaitė-Filonovienė appointed Managing partner

2025.07.01

Planned changes are taking place within the management team of the law firm NOOR. After completing his three-year term as Managing Partner, Giedrius Murauskas is handing over the role to Daiva Ušinskaitė-Filonovienė. The rotation of the Managing Partner every three years is one of the key principles of governance at NOOR, a firm established in 2022 through the merger of SPC legal and WINT law firm.

“In the past three years, both globally and in Lithuania, we’ve experienced changes that would normally span a decade in more stable times. The legal services market has always been relatively conservative, but even we must adapt to the new reality and evolving client expectations. Daiva deals daily with extremely complex cases, often full of unexpected developments – no one is better prepared to respond to sudden transformations and adapt to a changing environment. NOOR itself has grown and matured over the past three years, and we are ready to open a new chapter in our development,” said NOOR Partner Giedrius Murauskas.

“Giedrius had the most difficult task – integrating two previously separate teams, introducing and establishing an entirely new brand, and resolving the inevitable challenges that come with such a process. Research shows that only around 25 percent of corporate mergers are successful – NOOR is one of those rare cases, and Giedrius has been a key part of that success story. Today, the legal services market faces new challenges: from the integration of artificial intelligence and changes in the tax landscape to the transformation of the lawyer’s role. A good lawyer today must also be an advisor in law, finance, management, and business strategy. That’s why the authority and mentorship of the firm’s partners – unifying, guiding teams, and sharing their experience – are especially important qualities. I have no doubt that NOOR has a strong foundation in all these areas,” noted newly appointed Managing Partner Daiva Ušinskaitė-Filonovienė.

Daiva Ušinskaitė-Filonovienė leads NOOR’s Dispute Resolution practice and has extensive experience advising clients in shareholder disputes, liability claims, insolvency proceedings, and investigations into the activities of legal entities. She holds a master’s degree in law from Vilnius University and has pursued doctoral studies at Mykolas Romeris University and at the University of Pau et Pays de l’Adour in France. She is also a board member of the Lithuanian Business Confederation (ICC).

NOOR is a business law firm specializing in all key areas of commercial law. The firm and its specialized practice groups are led by experienced attorneys whose expertise and competence enable them to provide clear, practical, and constructive advice, even on the most complex legal matters. NOOR experts maintain close relationships with clients, become part of their teams, and apply a tailored, client-centric approach to each project. The firm employs a total of 60 professionals, and its leadership team consists of a four-member management board and a Managing Partner.
